Memecoin on Base · paired with cbLTC · 0.5% tax: half to holders, half burned

LesterThe Litecoin Mascot

A stick figure with the Litecoin logo for a head. That is the whole idea, and it is enough. Launched on Notus Pad, traded straight against Coinbase-wrapped Litecoin on Base, heading to LitVM when the chain is live.

Every trade pays the people who hold

LESTER taxes itself and gives the tax back. Half of it lands in holders' pockets as cbLTC, the other half leaves the supply for good. All of it is enforced by the Notus launchpad contract, not by a wallet someone controls.

Lore

Every chain gets a mascot. Litecoin waited fifteen years.

Litecoin launched in October 2011 as a faster, lighter fork of Bitcoin. It survived every cycle, every "Litecoin is dead" thread and every halving. What it never had was a face people could put on a sticker.

Lester is that face. A stick figure with the Litecoin logo for a head, drawn by a meme artist and adopted by the community, with the calm of someone who has watched the top ten reshuffle a dozen times and is still here.

He was launched through Notus Pad and lives on Base for now, because that is where a memecoin can actually trade today: cheap, fast and in a wallet you already have. The pool is paired with cbLTC, Coinbase's wrapped Litecoin, so every LESTER buy is Litecoin flowing into the pool.

Base is the waiting room, not the destination. When LitVM, the Litecoin virtual machine chain, goes live, Lester migrates home.

"Silver never needed to be gold. It just needed a mascot."

Roadmap

From Base to Litecoin's own chain

Three stages. Two are done. The third waits on a chain that is not live yet, so there is no date to promise.

Done

Launch on Notus Pad

Created on Oct 26, 2026. The bonding curve sold out its 800M tokens in about 30 hours and the coin graduated on Oct 28.

Live now

Trading on Base

The LESTER / cbLTC pool is live on Uniswap v2 on Base. This is where the token lives and trades until the next stage.

How to buy

Three steps, no sketchy bridges

You need a wallet on Base and a few dollars of ETH for gas. Everything else happens on Uniswap.

Get a wallet on Base

Install Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask or Rabby and switch to the Base network. Send a small amount of ETH to Base for gas.

Tip: $2 of ETH covers dozens of swaps.

Fund it with cbLTC

Buy Litecoin on Coinbase and withdraw it to Base: it arrives as cbLTC. Or start from ETH on Uniswap and let the router route through cbLTC for you.

cbLTC = Coinbase Wrapped LTC on Base.

Swap on Uniswap

Open the swap with LESTER preselected, confirm the token address matches the one below, set slippage to 3 to 5% and confirm.

Thin liquidity: keep single orders small.

Contract

Always verify the address

A dozen tokens share this name. This is the only LESTER this page is about.

FAQ

Things people keep asking Lester

Is LESTER affiliated with Litecoin or Charlie Lee?

No. Lester is a community mascot and a memecoin, not a project of the Litecoin Foundation, Litecoin's developers or Charlie Lee. It is a tribute, not an endorsement.

Why is it on Base and not on Litecoin?

Litecoin has no smart contracts in the way Ethereum does, so a token like this cannot live there directly yet. Base has cheap swaps, a huge wallet base and a native wrapped Litecoin (cbLTC), which lets Lester be priced in LTC in the meantime. When LitVM goes live, LESTER migrates there.

What is Notus Pad?

Notus Pad is the open-source launchpad LESTER launched through. The coin was created on Oct 26, 2026, sold 800M tokens along a bonding curve priced in cbLTC, and graduated on Oct 28 into a locked Uniswap v2 pool. The whole supply is in circulation, which is why market cap and fully diluted value match.

What is LitVM and when does the migration happen?

LitVM is the Litecoin virtual machine, a smart-contract chain built around Litecoin. The migration happens once that chain is live. There is no fixed date, and anyone giving you one is guessing. Migration steps will be published on this site before anything moves.

What is cbLTC?

Coinbase Wrapped LTC. It is an ERC-20 on Base backed one-to-one by Litecoin held at Coinbase. You get it by withdrawing LTC from Coinbase to the Base network.

Why do market cap and FDV match?

Because the full supply is already in circulation and there is no team allocation. The supply only ever shrinks: every burn lowers it, so market cap and fully diluted value stay identical.

Is there a tax? Where does it go?

Yes. Every swap pays 1% in LESTER: 0.5% is the Notus launchpad fee and goes to its treasury, 0.5% is the coin's own tax. That tax is split in half: 50% is sold for cbLTC and credited to every holder pro rata, 50% is burned. The creator takes 0%. The split is fixed in the contract and cannot be changed.

How do I claim my cashback?

Cashback accrues in cbLTC inside the Notus launchpad contract while you hold LESTER in a normal wallet. Check your balance in the Rewards section above, then claim it on Notus Pad with the same wallet. Tokens sitting in a pool or in a contract earn nothing.
